Gunjan Saxena, in her affidavit filed before Justice Rajiv Shakdher, clarified that the movie is not a documentary but is only inspired by her life. Janhvi Kapoor played the titular role in 'Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl' movie.

The high court sought response of Dharma Productions Private Limited, which produced the film, and Netflix on the Centre's plea to stop streaming of the movie.

Gunjan Saxena's life unfolds as a set-piece biopic, played out to a pattern.

It is a biopic which tells the story of our country's first Air Force woman officer who went to war. 

Since "Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl" is based on the life of the Air Force pilot, Janhvi spent substantial time with her.

Janhvi took to Instagram and shared a note written by Saxena, who said that the teaser brought back memories.

The film will release on Netflix but the premiere date is yet to be announced. It is a biopic which tells the story of our country's first Air Force woman officer who went to war.

Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor, who will be next seen in the biopic of Gunjan Saxena, the first female pilot in Indian Air Force, took to social media to post a heartfelt wish for the real Kargil girl.

Janhvi chopped off her long hair to ace her part as the lead character and the filming began in Lucknow, earlier this year.

Working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is on the wish-list of almost all the established actors as well as newcomers.

The film will be bankrolled by Karan Johar.
