Uttar Pradesh reeled under hot weather conditions on Monday and Banda was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius.

The weather department has warned of thunderstorm and strong winds in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Rajasthan and Delhi.

Thunderstorms accompanied with squall and hail is very likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on Monday. According to the India Meteorological Department warning issued on Monday morning, thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds will hit isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, interior Karnataka and Kerala.
