At least nine Kanwar Yatra pilgrims were electrocuted to death and three others sustained injuries in Bihar's Vaishali district.

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan will today begin his Ashirvad Yatra from Hajipur, which was the Lok Sabha constituency of his father late Ram Vilas Paswan. Pashupati Kumar Paras expressed his disapproval of Chirag's programme and questioned whether the birth anniversary of his father was an occasion for paying tributes or to seek blessings of the people.

At least half a dozen armed men on Saturday allegedly looted 55-kgs of gold from a gold financing company in Hajipur city of Bihar. The looted jewellery is said to be worth Rs 20 crore.

Four policemen were today injured as an escort jeep in the convoy of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and his minister son Tej Pratap Yadav overturned on Gandhi Setu in Bihar's Vaishali district, a police officer said.
