Harendra Singh had a major role to play in reviving Sardar's career and the former captain said the sacked India coach wasn't given enough time to prove his worth with the senior national side.
Indian men's hockey coach Harendra Singh was Wednesday sacked from the position following a disappointing 2018 and offered the task of helming the junior squad by the national federation.
When asked if he was in favour of going back to foreigners as national coach, Sreejesh responded in the positive.
The reprimand was handed down to Harendra after he and India's analytical coach Chris Ciriello were called for an official hearing by the FIH on Saturday.
Soon after the defeat, Harendra blamed poor umpiring for his side's unexpected early ouster, saying FIH seriously need to address the issue as his side has been on the receiving end of poor on-field decisions twice this year.
India has never defeated Netherlands in the history of the World Cup, but Harendra refused to dwell on the past.
Harendra admitted that after an impressive first half, India were a bit complacent in the third quarter, which allowed South Africa to create a few chances.

After a short two-week break, 33 women players will report for the national camp starting in Bengaluru's Sports Authority of India campus tomorrow.
Things weren't exactly going to plan until Hockey India appointed new coaches and were rewarded with Asia Cup gold by both men and women's team.
The players will report to Indian women's hockey team's chief coach Harendra Singh and will train together till December 23.

If the boys can do it, so can we. That’s the belief India’s women hockey team has played with in the 2017 Asia Cup.
