On account of the celebrations of Independence Day on August 15, all government and private schools in Haryana will remain closed tomorrow (August 16).
The decision to this effect was taken after viewing the Covid-19 situation and the declining number of new cases in the state, the order said.
Haryana health minister made the announcement.

It is to be noted that schools in Haryana will be reopening after a gap of 1.5 years. Students, who are not willing to attend the physical classes, can attend offline classes, which will go on simultaneously.
The students will be allowed to come to schools with the consent of their parents.
Students will be called to school while maintaining strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
On July 4, Haryana had extended the lockdown till July 12 while also allowing additional relaxations.
According to an order issued by the Directorate of School Education, the state government decided to extend the summer holidays after taking the coronavirus situation into account. The Haryana government had earlier declared summer vacations in schools till May 31.
After remaining shut for more than nine months, physical classes for classes 9 and 11 students in Haryana commenced from Monday (December 21). The development comes barely days after schools in Haryana reopened for classes 10 and 12, who will be appearing for their board exams next year.
