Mirza and Kichenok registered a comfortable 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Peng and Zhang in one hour and 21 minutes to achieve the glory. 

Former World No.1 Sania Mirza continued her dream comeback to the WTA circuit when on Friday she entered the women's doubles final at the ongoing Hobart International. Mirza, back from a two-year absence from the tour after having her baby, paired with Ukraine`s Nadia Kichenok to win their semi-final clash over Marie Bouzkova of the Czech Republic and Slovenia`s Tamara Zidansek, 7-6(3), 6-2, and move into the summit clash.

Sania Mirza and Nadia Kichenok will next take on Marie Bouzkova and Tamara Zidansek, who fought past Kateryna Bondarenko and Sharon Fichman, 6-3, 3-6, (10-4).

Belgian Elise Mertens successfully defended her Hobart International title with a rain-interrupted win over first-time WTA finalist Mihaela Buzarnescu on Saturday.

Defending champion Elise Mertens of Belgium reached the Hobart International final with a 6-4 1-6 6-2 win over British qualifier Heather Watson on Friday.

Former champion Heather Watson capitalised on a fast start to race away from Donna Vekic and set up a semi-final encounter against last year's winner Elise Mertens at the Hobart International on Thursday.
