Hot Jupiter News
Unlike Jupiter, the so-called hot Jupiters circle astonishingly close to their host star – so close that it typically takes fewer than three days to complete an orbit.
The findings come from a new analysis of observations made by the Hubble and Spitzer space telescopes.
A giant 'hot Jupiter' exoplanet was recently discovered by an international team of astronomers which was led by Kaloyan Penev of Princeton University.
The astronomers also used three different ground-based spectrographs to conduct high-resolution spectroscopic observations of K2-29b, in order to definitely verify it as a "hot Jupiter."
