Congress said PLA has taken advantage of the buffer areas in this de-escalation talks by placing their best cameras on the highest peaks and is monitoring the movements of Indian forces. 

The 17th round of the India-China Corps Commander Level Meeting was held at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point on 20th December. Two sides agreed to maintain security & stability on ground in the Western Sector. They also agreed to stay in close contact & maintain dialogue through military & diplomatic channels work out a mutually acceptable resolution.

Defence Ministry will take up an important Army proposal for the development of light tanks for deployment on the China border at a meeting scheduled to be held later this week. The Indian Army has issued specifications for its future light tank which has been named 'Zorawar'. The tank has been named after the legendary general who led multiple successful victories in Tibet which is now controlled by the Chinese Army.

EAM S Jaishankar today said that political leaders should not criticise army jawans. He said that our army jawans don't deserve the word 'pitaai'. Rahul Gandhi allegedly said that jawans are being beaten by Chinese soldiers in Arunachal Pradesh.

Rijiju said that Rahul is not only insulting the Indian Army but damaging the nation's image. He said that Arunachal Pradesh is fully secured now due to adequate deployment of the brave jawans of the Indian Army. Congress pointed out that the image shared by Rijiju is from 2019 when the minister visited the area.

Rahul Gandhi said that Indian soldiers were beaten at Arunachal Pradesh. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that if soldiers were harmed, it's not anti-national to say this. Yogi Adityanath termed Rahul Gandhi's statement as very indecent.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that Rahul Gandhi knows China's plan as he is very close to them. Amit Malviya said that hatred for India binds Rahul Gandhi and Bilawal Bhutto. Rahul Gandhi today said that China is planning a war against India.

Adnan Sami has shared a video of the conflict between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Tawang. But he has clarified that he does not know where this video is from. After the incident in Tawang, this video of Indian and Chinese soldiers is being shared.

India-China Clash: While the statement by Indian Army did not mention the number of troops involved in the face-off and those injured in the incident, reports indicated that there were more than 200 Chinese soldiers involved in the face-off.

Congress alleged that the Modi government was suppressing the border issue due to which China was acting with increasing audacity. AICC general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the Congress has been trying to wake up the government on the Chinese actions. Ramesh said no one is bigger than the country, but Modi ji is putting the country in danger to save his image.

Asaduddin Owaisi today launched a scathing attack on the Modi government over reports of a clash between India and China at Tawang. This is the first such incident since the Galwan clash that took place in 2020. Owaisi accused the government of keeping the country in the dark over the important issue.

In certain areas along the LAC in the Tawang Sector in Arunachal Pradesh there are areas of differing perception, wherein both sides patrol the area upto their claim lines. This has been the trend since 2006.
