Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Sharma on Thursday told the vice-chancellors of the state universities to start the new session from September 2021. For the upcoming session of 2021-22, the universities were asked to implement the common minimum syllabus on priority.

The Minister said that the NEP is based on firm foundations of equity, quality and accessibility. Pokhriyal claimed that several countries have acknowledged the NEP as the biggest reform of the world.

The world’s renowned education institutes as well as numerous countries have hailed the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of India. Many institutes have called it the world’s biggest reform and has exhibited interest in implementing it, said Union Education Minister.

PM Modi also gave 5E formula - Engage, explore, experience, express and excel to children for new-age learning. PM Modi further informed that MyGov portal received more than 15 lakh suggestions from teachers on NEP implementation within a week of seeking their views. The Ministry of Education is organising this two-day conclave, which started on September 10, as a part of the 'Shiksha Parv'.

The foreign envoys of several countries, whose languages have been included in the National Education Policy 2020, have welcomed the development. They said that this will increase the understanding of the country and also the bilateral cooperation. The national education policy has announced that-- Korean, Japanese, Thai, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian will be offered at the secondary level.
