India said that Nepal has requested for early provision of coronavirus vaccines to Kathmandu. India and Nepal had on January 15 held Joint Commission meeting in the national capital.

The Foreign Minister of Nepal has said that there so far there has not been any change in Kathmandu's position. In 2020, Nepal's Foreign Minister had called the agreement "redundant" which raised eyebrows in India.

Nepal believes in good relations with both India and China said Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. Gyawali said, "Nepal has always maintained good relations with our both neighbours. We never compare our relationship with our friends."

India has made an important announcement ahead of the visit of Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali to India. Gyawali arrived in the national capital on Thursday on a three-day visit.

The visit by Nepal FM Pradeep Gyawali will be a first of such high-profile visits from Kathmandu to India in over a year.

India so far has an air bubble (corridor) agreement with 23 countries across the globe. The India Nepal air travel corridor will see the first flight in the next few days.

In a move to better ties with India, Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali will visit India in December. This will be the first such high-level visit from the country to Delhi in 2020.

Indian Foreign Secretary to visit Nepal on Nov 26. Shringla will be in Nepal from Nov 26-27. During his visit, he will hand over COVID-19 related support to Nepal govt.

Nepal could be the new entrant to the list of countries with which India has an air bubble agreement. India has an air bubble agreement with 22 countries globally.

Indian Army chief General M M Naravane has been conferred the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army. The tradition, which started in 1950, reflects the strong ties between the two militaries.

Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane is on a three-day visit to Nepal. A Nepal Army release read, "Nepal army believes that exchange of such high-level visits and continuation of tradition helps in strengthening relations..."

The population of India is 40 times higher than Nepal’s and its economy is a hundred times richer than that of Nepal. The median age is much lower in India as compared to China. In the next 20-25 years, India could become the biggest economy in the world.

Indian Army Chief will visit Nepal, the first high-level visit to Nepal from India after Kathmandu issued a new map showing Indian territories as its own. During the visit, Nepali President Vidya Devi Bhandari will confer the honorary rank of General of Nepali Army to General Naravane in an investiture ceremony. The Nepal Army said, "The visit was approved by Nepal government of on February 3, 2020, but was postponed due to lockdown in both the countries."

India and Nepal will sit on August 17 (Monday) to talk on the New Delhi's development projects in the country. The "scheduled oversight mechanism" will see India being represented by its envoy in Kathmandu and Nepal being represented by Foreign Secretary. Indian government sources said the meet is "part of regular interaction between India and Nepal".

Nepal has intensified its activities on the Indo-Nepal border at many places and it has accelerated the work of building more than 200 new border outposts (BOP) on its side across the border, sources on Monday. The nation currently has 130 permanent border outposts (BoPs) but Nepal is engaged in strengthening these outposts and roads network along the border. According to reports from security agencies, Nepal is now planning to increase the number of these BOPs to around 400-500.
