A big decision has been taken regarding the uniform of the army. There will be a common uniform of Brigadier and above rank. This uniform will be implemented from August.

The army has patented its new uniform, after which no one else will be able to use it commercially. If anyone does this then legal action will be taken.

The uniform, which features a mix of colours including olive and earthen, has been designed taking into considerations aspects like areas of deployment of the troops and climatic conditions in which they operate.
