PM Modi, delivering the inaugural address of the 95th annual plenary session of the Indian Chamber of Commerce said that a self-reliant India is the way forward.
Defending the different slabs, he said the central government was trying to introduce the new tax system with the consent of states and did not want to impose it.
"India`s digital economy is currently $400 billion and in the coming 5-7 years, it is going to become a $1-trillion economy," the minister said at a session organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce
