The court was listening to an appeal filed by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
At this, the Chief Justice remarked: "We will not allow Indian content to be aired on (Pakistani) channels."
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has announced it will suspend the licences of media outlets airing Indian content without issuing prior notice.
The quantum of airtime for Indian content in Pakistan will mimic the format India has adopted for the airing of Pakistani content, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has said.
