Indian fishermen arrested News
The Sri Lankan Navy on Saturday apprehended eight Tamil Nadu fishermen and seized their boat near Delft Island.
As per the Sri Lankan Navy, the Fast Attack Craft of the Northern Naval Command of Colombo arrested the fishermen about 9 Nm Northwest of Kovilan on Sunday.
This was the fourth such incident this month.
The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) has apprehended 26 fishermen and seized four boats in the Arabian Sea off Jakhau coast, an official of the fishermen association said on Wednesday.
Around 3,500 fishermen in 634 boats had put out to sea from Rameswaram on Saturday night.
The spokesperson added the fishermen were arrested from near Sir Creek, along the maritime border between Sindh and Gujarat.
