According to MacRumors, the iOS and iPadOS 14.8.1 updates can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Apple is expected to make an announcement regarding iOS 15 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2021. WWDC 2021 will take place in the second quarter of 2021. iOS 15 will bring an updated User Interference and a host of new features.

Apple has not yet confirmed any adoption data for iOS 14. AirPods and AirPods Pro have also gained powerful capabilities with iOS 14. As per data, iOS 14 adoption outpaced iOS 13 which was installed on roughly 20 per cent of compatible devices.

iPadOS 14 is designed specifically for iPad. It ships for free with the new eighth-generation iPad and new iPad Air. It will be available as a free software update.

The new iOS version is compatible with the iPhone as well as iPod touch models that are compatible with iOS 13 and for iPad users, the new release is specifically meant for models that are currently running on iPadOS 13.

With iOS 14, Apple introduced the biggest update ever to Home Screen pages with beautifully redesigned widgets and the App Library.

Gobi app will allow users to get more information about things around them by using an augmented reality experience on the phone.
