Apple iOS 18: Users can now customize the colour of app icons and widgets on their iPhones, even matching them to the wallpaper, and adjust their size to appear larger.

Apple iOS 18.1: Currently in beta, iOS 18.1 is expected to introduce the first features under the new Apple Intelligence branding, including enhanced writing tools and notification summaries.

Apple’s iOS 18 introduces a range of new features, offering greater control over the Home Screen and Control Center, along with a smarter Siri. Starting next month, iOS 18 will roll out Apple Intelligence, a personal AI system designed to enhance the user experience with advanced, AI-powered capabilities.

iOS 18 Release In India: Notably, the initial release of Apple's iOS 18 will not include Apple Intelligence features, which are set to be introduced in parts starting with iOS 18.1 expected sometime in October.  

Apple Intelligence AI: Apple has confirmed that iOS 18 will be available as a free software update starting Monday, September 16, for eligible iPhones. 

Apple's iOS 18 software update offers a new set of customisation options, new text effects, the ability to lock and hide apps, and manage Mail inbox among others. 

With iOS 18, Apple's Siri will be able to understand Indian English commands combined with phrases from nine languages: Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.
