The 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) is set to make a comeback after it was halted midway due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The league will now resume on September 19 in UAE with Chennai Super Kings taking on Mumbai Indians.

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will get underway on April 9 (Friday) with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Virat Kohli's Royals Challengers Bangalore in the opening match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. There will be non-stop IPL action for the cricket fans till May 30 when the IPL final takes place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. We take a look at the top five matches to watch out for in the T20 league in the first couple of weeks.

Arun Dhumal, who is also on the IPL Governing Council, confirmed that the board is confident that it would be able to host the 2021 edition of the cash-rich T20 league at home. The tournament is all set to get underway from April 11 till June 6th or 7th, 2021, after the conclusion of domestic women’s one-day tournament and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
