The tournament had completed 58 games, with 12 matches left to be played in the league stage and followed by the playoffs. 

A special Vande Bharat train carrying PBKS and DC players, staff, and IPL officials has arrived in New Delhi from Jalandhar after the Dharamshala match was cancelled.

This decision follows air raid alerts near match venues and growing fears for the safety of players and officials. The BCCI is evaluating the situation and exploring multiple contingency plans, including rescheduling the event post-monsoon, shifting matches to the UAE or South Africa, or hosting games in safer Indian cities. Additional measures include launching a mini-IPL, handling financial challenges with broadcasters, and engaging fans through digital content. A crisis task force may also be formed, with inputs from the Indian government. The IPL could return later this year if conditions stabilize.
