Of the total 44 locations, the NIA sleuths searched one place in Karnataka, two in Pune, 31 in Thane Rural, nine in Thane city and one in Bhayander.

The accused persons are Pachaiyappan, A Rajesh, Anbarasan T, Abdul Rahiman, Liyakath Ali, Mohammed Haneef Khan, Imran Khan, Mohammed Zaid, Ejaz PashaHussain Shariff, Khaja Mohideen and Mahboob Pasha.

The searches were conducted based on the warrants issued by Ernakulam's special NIA court. In June 2019, a raid was conducted in Coimbatore following which two people, namely, Mohammed Azarudheen and Shiek Hidayathulla were arrested.

A Delhi court on Thursday sent 10 people arrested in the ISIS case to 12-day NIA custody. They were arrested on Wednesday on the suspicion of being members of an ISIS-inspired group who were planning suicide attacks and serial blasts, targeting politicians as also government installations, in Delhi and other parts of north India.

National Investigation Agency (NIA) has sought the assistance of social networking giants like Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp, to identify the activities of the ISIS and its members promoting the ideology of the terror group.
