US President Joe Biden arrived in Tel Aviv on Wednesday to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and show support to its Middle Eastern ally as Israel entered into the 12th day of war against the Hamas terror group. 

In a post on X, PM Modi said civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict are a matter of serious and continuing concern.

 Israel has sought interceptors for the Iron Dome system, jointly developed by the US and Israel to defend against rocket attacks, highlighting the intertwined defence efforts between the two nations.

Biden will meet Netanyahu and the Israeli war cabinet and seek a sense of Israel's plans and objectives in the days and weeks ahead.

Israel-Hamas War: Palestinian leaders have accused the Israeli PM and Israeli defence forces of telling lies and spreading fabricating stories in the aftermath of the deadly Gaza Hospital attack.

Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeideh has claimed that the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades were currently holding 200 people captive since the massive onslaught on Israel's south on October 7. 

Rishi Sunak assured unwavering support for Israel and conveyed heartfelt condolences for the victims from multiple nations, including the UK.

 Israeli fighter jets have been targeting the Hamas operation centres, further disrupting the group's activities in Gaza.

It was earlier reported that Israel has activated a plan to evacuate residents within 2km (1.2 miles) of Lebanon. The report, which cited the Israeli Defense Forces, followed exchanges of fire with Hezbollah in parallel to the conflict in southern Israel with Hamas.

Yahya Sinwar is also referred to as the "butcher of Khan Younis" due to his association with the town and his role in the murder of several Israeli soldiers.

In response to Israel's evacuation notice on Friday, approximately half a million people have fled northern Gaza for the south, reported the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson. 

The attacker, a 71-year-old landlord named Joseph Czuba, was charged with murder, attempted murder, and two counts of hate crimes.

United Nations Relief and Works Agency has warned of the dire situation in Gaza arising due to critical shortages of water, electricity, food, and medicine, as well as an overwhelming number of people seeking shelter in UN facilities.

President Biden said he was confident Israel would act within the rules of war and there would “be an ability for the innocents in Gaza to be able to have access to medicine and food and water.”

The Israeli Army earlier ordered the evacuation of all civilians living in Gaza City and in the north of the Gaza Strip ahead of a feared ground offensive on the besieged enclave.

The IDF shared that the members of its elite Flotilla 13 unit killed 60+ Hamas terrorists, including Muhammad Abu A'ali, the Deputy Commander of the Hamas Southern Naval Division.

States like Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, and Goa have been urged to exercise heightened caution and ensure the safety of Israelis citizens. 

Israel Defence Forces spokesperson Johnathan Conricus confirmed that the Gaza residents have been asked to move south as Hamas terrorists were using them as ''human shields."
