Ivan Lendl News
Murray announced he was parting company with Lendl again on Friday after two spells together which yielded three Grand Slam titles and two Olympic singles golds.
The 30-year-old Scot has enjoyed all of his Grand Slam success under the guidance of Lendl, securing a second Wimbledon title last year and another Olympic title in the second installment of their fruitful partnership.
Lendl, who coaches world number one Andy Murray, said that the Briton, Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic have been able to stay at the top of men`s tennis due to their mental strength.
Murray and Lendl split in March 2014 though, since when Djokovic has won 13 of their 15 meetings, most recently in the French Open final when Murray, who split with Amelie Mauresmo this year, subsided after a good start.
Djokovic has been dominating the sport from last year.
After flying in from the United States on Monday evening, Lendl seemed to be making an instant impact, directing Murray`s practice session on Tuesday morning and then watching his match from the courtside seats.
Lendl`s first target will be this week`s key Wimbledon lead-up event Queen`s.
the Swiss maestro moved closer to Jimmy Connors' record career match wins (1,256).
The Serb broke the Swiss three times to win 6-3, 6-4 in just 80 minutes.
Djokovic delivered another masterclass to record his 82nd victory from 88 matches this year.
