RCB mentor Dinesh Karthik praised Jacob Bethell’s versatility, hunger, and maturity, suggesting he could be England’s long-term solution in the top order.  

Jacob Bethell, 21, was in contention for a place after impressing with three half-centuries in as many Tests against New Zealand last year. First Test will be played from June 20. Ben Stokes will lead England while Shubman Gill will lead India.
