Jammu and Kashmir cold News
Cold wave condition continued in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday as clear overnight sky pushed minimum temperatures further down but helped maximum temperatures get warmer.
The cold wave intensified in Kashmir with the mercury staying several degrees below the freezing point in most parts of the Valley as a Met department forecast said dry weather was likely to continue this week.
The ongoing cold wave in Jammu and Kashmir will continue unabated until January 5, the weather office said on Saturday.
Continuing its free fall on Thursday, the minimum temperature dropped to minus 2.3 degrees in Srinagar and 7.9 in Jammu, the lowest recorded at both places this season.
