Jammu & Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024 Phase 3 Voting Live Updates: The voting began at 7am and will conclude around 6pm, till the voters arrive. Conting of votes and results are scheduled for October 8. 

ECI has established 1,494 polling stations across the district with 609 urban polling stations and 885 rural polling stations.

This is the first time a foreign delegation has visited the region to observe the electoral process.

Jammu and Kashmir is all set for the second phase of polling on Wednesday, September 25, with approximately 25.78 lakh voters ready to cast their votes for 239 candidates across 26 assembly constituencies. Tight security measures are in place as arrangements have been arranged in six districts, including Ganderbal, Srinagar, Budgam, Reasi, Rajouri, and Poonch. There are many key candidates are all set to contest in phase 2 including former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah, APNI Party Chief Altaf Bukhari, Congress state president Tariq Hameed Karra, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi of PDP and BJP state president Ravindra Raina.   

J&K Assembly Elections 2024: The second phase of the election is scheduled for September 25, and the final phase will take place on October 1. 

Haryana prepares for October 5 elections with BJP's Babita Phogat confident of a third term, while Jammu and Kashmir readies for phase 2 polls.  

This election marks the first since the significant changes made in 2019 with the abrogation of Article 370.
