Tamil Nadu Minister OS Manian on Wednesday said the state Health Minister and the Apollo Hospitals Chairman had briefed them about Jayalalithaa's health status.

Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa will return home "soon" as an AIIMS expert team has confirmed that she has completely recovered, ruling AIADMK said on Sunday.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.

Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa on Sunday said that she had taken rebirth because of people's prayers.

Jayalalithaa has been in hospital for more than three weeks and is being treated for a lung infection. 

Under attack over reported portfolio allocation to Tamil Nadu's Finance Minister O Panneerselvam by state's ailing Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, the ruling AIADMK said on Thursday the latter gave verbal consent regarding the same.

The party's official Twitter handle, @AIADMKofficial, said Naidu had sent 'prasadam' from Lord Venkateshwara temple at Tirumala Tirupati to Apollo hospital, where Jayalalithaa has been admitted.

Expelled AIADMK MP Sasikala Pushpa on Monday demanded a CBI enquiry into the health condition of ailing Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and alleged that her aide Sasikala Natarajan was now "controlling" the day-to-day affairs of the government.

The officials of the Apollo Hospitals here said that she is being given antibiotics and other clinical interventions to treat her infection.

PMK leader S Ramadoss demanded that either an audio or video clipping of her health condition be released to put an end to rumours surrounding her health.
