Italy on Saturday announced the deportation of two Moroccans and a Syrian suspected of Islamist extremist sympathies, lifting to 202 the number of such orders since January 2015.
"We have been informed by federal prosecutors that an investigation has started for attempted terrorist murder... given certain elements (in the case)," Michel told reporters.
French PM Manuel Valls said he was "open to the idea that there should be no financing from abroad for the construction of mosques.
"It`s obviously sad to have to deal with such a question. But too many things have happened in the last few days that makes one reflect," he said.
It will provide French and Belgian police services and their counterparts around Europe with the platform they need to share information more quickly and to crack down on the terrorist groups that are active.
With the FBI alert plastered all over Italy's front pages today, the minister appealed for calm.
