Judge Penny Azcarate ruled that there was "no evidence of fraud or wrongdoing" by the juror and that the jury's verdict should stand in Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation case.
Titled 'A Marriage on Trial: Johnny Depp, Amber Heard and Truth in the Age of Social Media', the documentary will debut on NBC News Now and will be available for streaming on demand on NBCNews.com and Peacock, reports 'Variety'.
Amber Heard's lawyers have argued that the verdict should be set aside and a new trial should be ordered because one of the seven jurors in the case never received a summons.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case: According to the redacted filing, accessed by 'Deadline', the summons for jury duty was sent out to a Virginia resident in April for the much-delayed $15 million defamation action Depp had set off in March 2019 against Heard for a 2018 'Washington Post' op-ed she penned on being the "public face" of domestic abuse.
Amber Heard`s legal team also claims that the jury`s $10.35 million judgement on the actress is "inconsistent and irreconcilable" with the jury's determination that both she and Depp defamed one other.

Amber Heard, who alternated between crying and speaking calmly, said she stayed with Johnny Depp because she wanted to believe his apologies and promises to never hit her.
During cross-examination, an attorney for Heard asked the psychologist whether she was board certified. Dr Curry responded that she is not.
In court, messages revealed that Johnny Depp texted Bettany about drowning and burning his ex-wife Amber Heard.
