Everton duo of Richarlison and Jordan Pickford have issued their apologies to Liverpool after their heavy tackles against them. Liverpool were held to a tense 2-2 derby draw by Everton where Virgil van Djik and Thiago Alcantara endured heavy tackles. Richarlison had tackled Thiago while keeper Pickford's wild challenge led to Virgil van Djik getting injured and hobbling off the field.

The visitors dominated possession and were denied by some desperate Palace defending, with goalkeeper Vicente Guaita pulling off a series of good saves in the first half.
