Cricket Australia has announced the 14-member squads for the Australia A team’s tour of India in September-October 2025. The tour will feature two four-day matches in Lucknow and three one-day games in Kanpur.

South-African batsman AB de Villiers has said that he sees a lot of similarities between himself and fellow RCB teammate Josh Philippe. Australian Philippe is a highly-rated wicketkeeper batsman and was bought by RCB in the 2019 IPL auction for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs. The 23-year-old Philippe, was one of the brightest stars for Sydney Sixers in the 2019-20 BBL and was the man of the match in the final, taking his side to their second BBL crown. Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on SunRisers Hyderabad in their opening match of the tournament on September 21.

The 21-year-old who formerly represented the Perth Scorchers, finished his debut season with 304 runs at an average of 30.40 after being promoted as opener, from the middle order.
