They have said that they will not vacate buildings until the government does not give them proper compensation and rehabilitation. In support of the affected people, a large number of villagers reached Joshimath and took out a procession.

Joshimath land sinking: The holy town of Joshimath has been divided into three zones, 'Danger', 'Buffer', and 'Completely Safe', based on the magnitude of danger from land subsidence or the sinking or settling of the ground surface.
