Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed to commence work on a certain "Ram Janmabhumi Ayodhya Dham" to further his claims that "real Ayodhya lies in Nepal, not in India". He has even laid out a comprehensive master plan to celebrate Ram Navami with grandeur at Ayodhyapuri, the so-called birthplace of Lord Ram, by placing idols of Ram, Laxman, Sita and Hanuman.

China on Tuesday said its "weal and woe" friendship with Nepal will not change after the resignation of premier K P Oli, amid concerns here over the fate of a number border connectivity deals struck during his regime to blunt India's influence in Nepal.

Nepal's Opposition parties tabled a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister K P Oli.

"Nepal`s prime minister is prepared to face a no-confidence motion in parliament after former Maoist rebels who had backed his coalition withdrew their support but he sees no need to step down", an aide said.
