Kalka-Shimla Vistadome Coach New Train: In a move that will give a booster shot to Kalka-Shimla tourism, the Indian Railways is all set to roll out new stunning Vistadome coaches on the heritage route. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video on his X (formerly Twitter) account, introducing a new train service linking Kalka and Shimla. "New train for Kalkaji Shimla. Ready for giving a new experience in the scenic Himachal," said Vaishnaw in his post.

The Indian Railways has recently introduced a seven coach glass-enclosed vistadome train on the heritage Kalka-Shimla route. Decorated with balloons, the red-coloured train was flagged off from the Kalka railway station in Haryana. With the introduction of this train, the tourists headed to Shimla will be able to experience snow and rainfall in these glass-enclosed coaches.
