Kiran Tiwari, wife of Hind leader Kamlesh Tiwari has received threats in Lucknow, the capital of UP. Significantly, Kamlesh Tiwari was murdered after entering his house. Now his wife has received a threatening letter written in Urdu. The police have increased the security of his house.

Yusuf Khan, son of Ishrat, who provided a pistol to the killers of Kamlesh Tiwari, was arrested in a joint operation by the Gujarat ATS and the UP Police from Kanpur.

The accused, identified as Kamran, allegedly helped the assailants - Moinuddin and Ashraf, in trying to escape to Nepal. He works in the travel agency of Naved, another accused who has been arrested. A total of six persons have been arrested so far. Other accused - Rashid Pathan, Faizan Sheikh, and Maulana Mohsin Sheikh - were sent to police custody last week in connection with the case.

The maulana was detained on Tuesday by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). He was arrested after a long interrogation under Section 216 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused had visited the cleric after they killed Tiwari in Lucknow.

The Chief Minister has also instructed the authorities to take the accused to a fast track court for a speedy trial. Kamlesh Tiwari was shot dead at Naka area of Lucknow.

Ashfaq Shaikh and Moinuddin Pathan are the two prime accused in the case. Kamlesh Tiwari was murdered at his home in Naka Hindola area in Lucknow over a hate speech given by him in 2015.

The Gujarat ATS had arrested the two main accused in the case - Ashfaq Hussain Jakirhussain Shaikh (34) and Moinuddin Khurshid Pathan (27) - from the Gujarat-Rajasthan border.
