Despite huge expectations, Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Shamshera' is a flop.

Shamshera star Ranbir will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' with his wife Alia Bhatt, who is expecting their first child. The film is set to release on September 9, 2022. 

The story of Shamshera is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shuddh Singh, played by Sanjay Dutt.

Shamshera release: The period drama stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles with Karan Malhotra calling the shots in the director's seat. In an exclusive interview with Zee News Digital, the cast of Shamshera talked about various things.

"I am fortunate to have worked with both Chintu uncle and Ranbir, they are so different yet so similar," says Karan Malhota.

Yash Raj Films has designed an interesting chat session. Ranbir, Sanjay, Vaani and director Karan will be asked some pointed things about their life in front of the media in the national capital in coming days. 

Directed by Karan Malhotra, 'Shamshera' has been produced by Aditya Chopra and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22, 2022.

Set in the 1800s, the film is about a dacoit tribe who take charge in the fight for their rights and independence against the British.
