After watching the factual film The Kashmir Files on the Kashmir genocide in the 90s, Nadav Lapid, an Israeli filmmaker, has called the film vulgar and propaganda. The film was screened at the ongoing 53rd International Film Festival of India in Goa. Nadav Lapid was the jury head in this film festival.

Anupam Kher's film 'The Kashmir Files' is once again in the news. Recently Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid has given a controversial statement regarding this film. In his speech after being elected as the jury head of the 53rd Film Festival of India (IFFI), Nadav called 'The Kashmir Files' a vulgar film. Zee News had an exclusive conversation with Anupam Kher on this matter. He said that the one who calls 'The Kashmir Files' vulgar is itself a vulgar.

A new controversy has emerged on film The Kashmir Files. IFFI (International Film Festival Of India) jury head Nadav Lapid has termed the film indecent and the one that involves propaganda. Actor Anupam Kher retaliated on this statement and said, 'the stature of a lie is always smaller than that of the truth'.
