Amidst the speculation, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan expressed the franchise's desire to have Dhoni back for the IPL 2025 season.

Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan recently provided a crucial update on MS Dhoni's participation in IPL 2024.

Dhoni played all matches for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2023 even with a hurting knee. Soon after the final of IPL, he underwent a surgery on the same knee and is currently in Ranchi. 

The CSK captain played IPL 2023 with an injured left knee. He always had a strap on the same knee while batting or wicketkeeping throughout the season. His brave effort was hailed by the fans as CSK won the fifth trophy. 

Dhoni's association with CSK has been long-standing since he was acquired by the franchise for Rs 6 crore during the inaugural IPL auction in 2008.

MS Dhoni has lead CSK to four IPL titles as captain and the last one was in the IPL 2021.

Kasi Viswanathan said that Dhoni’s skills as the captain can’t be questioned by anyone. The CSK CEO revealed this and much more in a video posted by the franchise on their social media handle.

Manohar had suggested that he would speak to the BCCI about the possibility of giving up about 6% of India's 22% share of ICC revenues.
