Red alert has been issued in 5 districts in Kerala.
IMD has notified orange alert in the rest of the districts, except Kasaragod.
NDRF teams have been deployed in the 5 districts.
Kerala remains on high alert with heavy rains expected after Cyclone Burevi makes landfall.
In Tamil Nadu, the cyclone will cross the coast on the morning of December 4.
After days of war-level relief and rescue operations, red alert has been withdrawn for all districts of Kerala, which has been battered by incessant rain and floods.
Amid the worsening flood situation in Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the state is “witnessing something that has never happened before in the history” of the southern coastal state.
