Encounter breaks out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Wednesday, an official said. 

The operation targets a group of three to four terrorists hiding in the Singhpora Chatroo area.

In Kishtwar, a cloudburst hit a remote village around 4:30 am, leaving seven people dead and 17 others injured, while at least nine people are dead, two injured and seven reported missing in the flash floods in the hilly state.
