With former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah raking a row with through his 'Kupwara attack was aimed to spread hatred against Muslims' remark, the Centre has reiterated that senior politicians should refrain from making statement that lower the morale of the security forces.
Condemning National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah's remark on Kupwara attack, the National Panthers Party (NPP) on Sunday held the former and his party responsible for the prevailing 'nuisance' situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Hearing such an irresponsible statement from a politically mature person like Abdullah is disheartening. His remark on such an important issue like national security raises doubts on his political thinking," Naqvi told ANI.

Three heavily-armed terrorists on Thursday stormed an army camp in Kupwara district of Kashmir, killing a Captain and two other soldiers.
What stood out in Thursday's Kupwara was the splendid courage displayed by gunner Rishi Kumar.
The protesters were trying to disturb the movement of the Army convoy by pelting stones at the security forces.
"Pakistan is trying to mess the situation as much as possible, but that would not be possible. Their actions will be answered," Singh told ANI.
The two militants who attacked the base at Kupwara were killed as soldiers returned fire, army spokesman said.
