Seven people were killed and 10 were wounded in southeast Turkey when an improvised explosive placed on a road went off as a vehicle carrying villagers was passing, a governor`s office in the region said.

A policeman and a militant from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir on Friday, the local governor`s office said.

A bomb detonated by Kurdish militants killed three soldiers and wounded five more in southeast Turkey near the border with Iran, the Hurriyet news website said on Wednesday.

Yildirim's comments to reporters after Friday prayers, came after Berlin warned its citizens that traveling and working in Turkey carried security risks.

The soldiers were wounded during an operation targeting militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the southeastern province of Bitlis, the army said.

Confirming the security breach, a Facebook spokesperson said that the website had made technical changes to "better detect and prevent these types of issues from occurring".

A teacher in a separate vehicle was killed in the gunfire and a bystander was wounded, it said, adding the gunmen escaped with the stolen car.  

Turkey's military killed six members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in air strikes in northern Iraq on Thursday, the army said in a statement.

Kurdish militants detonated a bomb which killed three Turkish soldiers in southeast Turkey, a provincial governor`s office said on Tuesday, adding that five rebels were killed in clashes in the region.

The Turkish military said on Friday 71 Kurdish militants from the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia and the allied PKK had been killed in operations in Syria over the past week.

Suspected Kurdish militants clashed with police and detonated a car bomb in western Turkey on Thursday after their vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint, killing a police officer and a court employee, officials said.

The blast, a week after deadly twin bombing targeted police in Istanbul, is likely to further outrage a public angered by a series of attacks this year - several claimed by Kurdish militants, others by Islamic State - and a failed coup in July.

Citing the Turkish military, the Reuters reported that the PKK fighters had crossed into Turkey from northern Iraq and tried to attack the military bases.

Antalya is a major tourist resort on Turkey`s Mediterranean coast.

Turkish police shot dead a suspected Islamic State militant who was believed to be planning a suicide bomb attack in the capital Ankara, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Wednesday.

It was one of the highest casualty tolls in a single day of the conflict in recent years.

The Kurdish YPG militia, a critical part of the US-backed campaign against Islamic State, took near complete control of Hasaka city on Tuesday. 

Turkey will give full support to an operation to take the Syrian border town of Jarablus from Islamic State, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Tuesday, after Syrian rebels said they were preparing an assault from Turkish soil.

Five soldiers were killed and eight others were wounded in Turkey's southeastern Sirnak province on Wednesday in an attack believed to have been carried out by militants of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), security sources said.
