The Hungarian Grand Prix was full of drama and action but in the end it saw McLaren driver Oscar Piastri take his first ever Formula One win.

Carlos Sainz started on pole position and held on with badly worn tires over several tense final laps for his second career win in F1 ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris and the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton.

The race, on a sunny afternoon at the scenic Red Bull Ring, was held in front of empty grandstands and no fans for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
