The team adapted the DLW method to synthesise and pattern hybrid nanocatalysts or fuel sources, into complex geometric shapes.

The project was led by Peidong Yang, a chemist at the US Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California, Berkeley, according to Xinhua.
