The activists were later put under house arrest on August 29 following an order by the SC.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra and comprising of Justices A M Khaniwlkar and D Y Chandrachud had reserved the judgment on September 20.
The top court was hearing a plea filed by historian Romila Thapar and four others.
In a press conference on Friday, the Maharashtra police said that evidence collected during raids establishes the link between arrested activists with Maoist organisations.
The Pune Police on Tuesday arrested Left-wing activists in multiple raids across the country.
Law enforcement agencies are currently scrutinising the items seized during the multiple raids across the country.
Satyanarayana alleged that the raids took place without an official search warrant.
