5242 coronavirus cases and 157 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours as per the Health Ministry data. Out of the total cases, 56,316 are active cases, 36,823 recovered cases, 1 migrant patient, and 3,029 deaths. The recovery rate in India stands at 38.29 percent.

The death toll crossed 2,500, while more than 27,000 have recovered so far. Large numbers of cases continued to get reported in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and the national capital.

As India's battle continues with the coronavirus COVID-19, the number of confirmed cases are 74,281 with 2,415 deaths and 24,386 cured cases, the recovery rate is 32.82%. As per the latest update by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday (May 13, 2020).

Addressing a press briefing, Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said 16,540 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far with 1,273 in the last 24 hours. He added that almost one in three hospitalized people has recovered.

The Health Ministry on Monday addresses press conference over current situation of Coronavirus in India.

Coronavirus cases in India crossed 17000 on Monday as the total number of cases stood at 17265 which includes 14175 active cases, 2546 cured/discharged, 1 migrant patient and 543 death. 1553 cases and 36 deaths reported in last 24 hours which is the highest single-day spike in India.

With 1,007 new cases and 23 deaths reported in last 24 hours, the total number of coronavirus cases in India reached to 13,387 mark.

Vinay Dubey is arrested by Bandra Police. He is alleged to be the person who instigated the labourers to assemble at Bandra in Mumbai on Tuesday. Dubey, who describes him as the leader of labourers in Mumbai, openly threatened the government and provoked migrant workers not to sit in their houses but to gather at the Bandra Railways station to stage a dharna..

Mumbai Police on Tuesday night detained one Vinay Dubey over messages on his social media accounts which reportedly contributed to the gathering of a large number of migrant workers in suburban Bandra in the afternoon.

With 1,211 new cases and 31 deaths reported in last 24 hours, the total number of coronavirus cases in India reached to 10,363 mark.
