This move empowers residents with greater control over the security of their unique identification data.
Anyone in India with a smartphone can download and use the mAadhaar App.
Residents without an Aadhaar-registered mobile number will be able to use only a few services, such as Locate Enrolment Center, Verify Aadhaar, and Scanning QR Code.
A registered mobile number is required for all other Aadhaar services.
Aadhaar cardholders can now add up to five user profiles to the mAadhar app.
Users would be asked to enter the Aadhar card details and then provide an OTP.
The mAadhaar app can be utilised anywhere in India at any time.
The app houses 13 languages which include English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The app’s Aadhaar services further need an Aadhaar registered profile in order to be availed.
The mAadhaar app services are divided into three main groups – ‘The Main Service Dashboard’, ‘Request Status Services’ and the ‘My Aadhaar’ section.
