Malaysia is the second-biggest producer and exporter of palm oil and India`s restrictions on the refined variety of the commodity imposed last week have been seen as a retaliation for Mahathir`s criticism of New Delhi`s actions.

Now it's a time to pay the price for Malaysia. Reports suggested that Indian authorities started preparation to put a complete ban on the import of Malaysian palm oil. Earlier India already imposed restrictions on imports of refined palm oil and palmolein. It is to be believed that Indian retaliation came against top supplier after its criticism of India's actions in Kashmir and new citizenship law.
