A day after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan left New York following a week-long visit to the United Nation General Assembly (UNGA), Islamabad has announced that it has replaced its envoy to United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi. Munir Akram will replace Lodhi. Watch this video to know more.

A statement from Pakistani foreign ministry said, "The Prime Minister has been pleased to make the following appointments.. Ambassador Munir Akram has been appointed as Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations in New York, in place of Dr Maleeha Lodhi."

Maleeha Lodhi put out a picture of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his British counterpart Boris Johnson on Twitter and wrote in the caption: "Prime Minister Imran Khan met British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson this morning."

Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi had to leave from an event after a man heckled and accused her of corruption, saying "You are a thief and don't deserve to represent Pakistan".

People are going to reach to you like this now. Nobody is going to get away any more, said the Pakistani national.

Pakistan once again failed to get a repsonse despite its attempts to canon ball the Kashmir issue on a global platform.

Pakistan brought up the topic during a debate on the volatile situation in the Middle East.

Pakistan used a photo to portray an injured Gaza girl as a Kashmiri pellet gun victim at the United Nations.

After Sushma Swaraj's speech at the UN, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi showed photos claiming that those were victims of pellet gun attacks in Kashmir.
