Maruti Suzuki India recently crossed the 1-crore cumulative production milestone at its Manesar facility in Haryana
In the six months of the current fiscal (April-September), Maruti Suzuki India sold 1,063,418 units, up from 1,050,085 in the same period last fiscal.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2,406.1 crore in the year-ago period, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a regulatory filing.
Constraints of production still continue due to the semiconductor supply situation, which resulted in some loss in wholesales as well as retail, said Maruti Suzuki in a statement.
Maruti Suzuki earlier recalled 17,362 units of models including Alto K10, Brezza, S-Presso, Grand Vitara and Baleno to inspect and replace faulty airbag controllers.
Maruti Suzuki is one of the largest auto exporters from India and in CY 2022, Maruti Suzuki registered an export of over 2.6 lakh vehicles, its highest ever exports in a calendar year.

MSI said total passenger vehicle production stood at 77,782 units last month, as against 1,61,668 units in September 2020.
Production of mini cars comprising Alto and S-Presso models stood at 17,163 units last month as against 30,492 units a year ago.
Manufacturing of compact cars, comprising WagonR, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Baleno and Dzire, declined to 29,272 units from 90,924 units earlier, MSI said.
