Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday announced granting of visas to eight Pakistani nationals.
Pakistan accused India of politicising humanitarian issues and said "selective issuance" of medical visas to its citizens was not a gesture of compassion but "cold blooded politicking".
EAM Sushma Swaraj took to Twitter and announced thaat all genuine pending medical visa applications from Pakistani nationals will be cleared.
Heeding to a request by Uzair Humayun, a Lahore-based man, Swaraj said medical visa will be given to his daughter for an open-heart surgery in India.
In 2017 till date, 1,05,163 medical visas have been issued while 1,77, 972 such visas were issued in 2016.
"India has made it impossible for Pakistanis to get medical visas," an official was quoted as saying by the channel.
