Mehul Choksi had gone missing from Antigua on May 23, 2021 and was caught in Dominica. He was charged with illegal entry by the police in Dominica.

Mehul Choksi has landed in Antigua and Barbuda after 51 days of custody in neighbouring Dominica for illegal entry. Dominica court grants bail to Mehul Choksi, asks to deposit Eastern Caribbean dollars 10,000 as surety for the bail.

Mehul Choksi has filed a case in the Roseau high court. Absconding diamantaire as sought to quash the proceedings against him. He has alleged that his arrest in Dominica for illegal entry was 'dictated' by representatives of the Indian govt.

Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne said that he was not aware of "any conclusive evidence" that Choksi was abducted Gaston Browne made this disclosure while responding to questions of opposition MP in the Antiguan Parliament

Mehul Choksi’s legal team had submitted a medical certificate from doctors at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital. The absconding businessman is wanted in India in a case of loan fraud worth about Rs 13,500 crore in the state-run Punjab National Bank.

The strategies have been planned in order to handle pressure from the Indian authorities. 

Indian filed an affidavit to Dominica court The affidavit was filed on June 8 The affidavit said that Mehul Choksi is "still" an Indian citizen and has opposed his bail

India has filed two impleadment applications in the Dominican High Court seeking to join the case against fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi. CBI will focus on the PNB fraud case to establish the fugitive status of Mehul Choksi and MEA will focus on his Indian citizenship status.

A complaint filed by Mehul Choksi’s lawyer Michael Polak with the UK Metropolitan Police contended that Choksi’s case should be investigated by the War Crimes Unit as it involves "torture". Polak said that his client was unlawfully removed from Antigua and Barbuda, adding that as a citizen he enjoys the right to approach the British Privy Council in case of extradition.

Dominica PM called Mehul Choksi an Indian citizen. Roosevelt Skerrit said the rights of Choksi will be respected. He stated that courts will decide on the future course of action.

Mehul Choksi has disclosed the names of his alleged abductors to Antiguan police. The police has now commenced an investigation into the possible abduction.

Antigua police sources claimed that Govin was Mehul Choksi’s close friend and the duo was planning to leave Antigua and settle in a safehouse in Cuba. Indian intelligence sources said that the absconding businessman made up his abduction story because he knew that the Antigua government is committed to send him back to India.

Fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi filed an affidavit before the Dominica High Court and claimed that he is a “law-abiding citizen”. Choksi in its affidavit said that he had left India only to seek medical treatment in the US. Fugitive diamantaire on Sunday also disclosed the names of his alleged abductors to Antiguan police.

According to the LinkedIn account of Jarabica, she studied at LSE. But once her account become public, the display picture and the fact she studied at LSE was deleted. The changes happen within 24 hours. Only her LinkedIn account saw changes, while her Instagram and twitter account remained untouched.  

In the notice, Browne had made it clear that Choksi would be 'deprived' of his citizenship of Antigua & Barbuda due to 'wilful concealment of material fact'.
